Bilderberg, a leader in the Dutch business and luxury hotel segment, has extended its partnership with Swisscom Hospitality Services. Designed to strengthen Bilderberg's competitive advantage in both the business and the leisure travel market, Swisscom has been chosen to support the group's 20 properties, providing managed services for its guest rooms, meeting rooms, public areas and business centres.

Bilderberg is known not only for its exceptional guest services but also its stunning locations in Holland's historic city centers, natural reserves and on the seaside. Top-notch business facilities combined with an emphasis on the guest's well-being attract corporate meeting clients as well as demanding individual travelers. During the past three years, while being aligned with its new corporate identity, Bilderberg properties have been upgraded to a state-of-the-art wired and wireless infrastructure that is ready to serve future IP-based hotel applications.

"Swisscom has proven to be the most reliable partner not only by helping us in getting our venues refurbished, but also by refining its Internet services to our guests and by building a comprehensive, Swiss-quality user support", says Erwin Schuring, CFO at Bilderberg. "Leisure guests checking their emails get the same reliable support as corporate clients. Offering consistent quality of service and support in all our venues means a very important service differentiator for us. Moreover, we appreciate the convenience and personalization from the full PMS integration of Swisscom's Internet access service. Finally, we have been very successful in retaining and attracting corporate customers, thanks to Swisscom's reliability as a partner for our meeting room business."

The successful collaboration started in 2004 when Swisscom brought wireless high-speed Internet access services to all Bilderberg venues. It has evolved into a true sharing of resources: Swisscom is now servicing all 20 hotels through a dedicated local account team providing first-hand technical assistance and pro-active Sales support for the group's corporate meeting room business. The new setup enables Bilderberg's banqueting to further market managed Internet service as a unique point of sales while keeping the focus on its own core competencies in the area of hospitality.

"I am very proud to deepen our 5-year long partnership with Bilderberg, a truly outstanding hotel brand with a great service philosophy", comments Leo Brand, CEO of Swisscom Hospitality Services. "Bilderberg and Swisscom share their belief in premium Internet services making a difference both for the guest room and the meeting room business. I am particularly happy to see a modern Internet infrastructure making economic sense for all parties concerned. Our joint investment also paves the way for future innovation at Bilderberg, be it in the arena of guest room entertainment services or the integration of further IP-based applications into Bilderberg's existing Internet infrastructure."
