Americas Best Value Inn Starts 2009 With Addition of Nine Properties in January
Americas Best Value Inn, the nation’s 10th largest limited-service hotel chain, kicked off 2009 with the addition of nine properties and 735 rooms in January. Despite a troubled economy, the brand was able to strengthen its hold as the affordable alternative to franchising.
Three hotels were added in Texas, including the company’s largest property yet in San Antonio, the Americas Best Value Inn-San Antonio Airport that offers 185 rooms. Other additions in the Lone Star State were a 140-room hotel in Sherman and a property in Somerville.
The ABVI family also welcomed two new members in California (Los Angeles Airport & Monterey), as well as hotels in Saginaw, Mich., Manhattan, Kan., Craig, Colo., and Marietta/Atlanta, Ga.
“When examining my options, I really saw the value of joining the ABVI brand,” said San Antonio Airport owner Sharif Choudhury. “The fee structure and available resources are exceptional, and I like the idea of having a voice and a vote in the brand’s initiatives.”
“Even in a struggling economy, ABVI has grown at a steady pace,” said Roger Bloss, Founder, President and CEO of Vantage Hospitality Group, the parent company of ABVI and The Lexington Collection. “Our unique Freestyle Brand Affiliation model, innovative programs and comprehensive resources continue to attract new members and help them drive their R.O.I.”
