Kermodei Tourism Publishes Environmentally Responsible 2009 Travel Guide Showcasing the Best of Terrace, BC
errace, BC (April 10, 2009) – Terrace BC's Kermodei Tourism Society has announced the release of the 2009 Terrace Travel Guide. The official guide, which highlights Terrace hotels, attractions and surrounding region, was printed onpaper certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC). UV ink was used to print the travel guide, a processwhich eliminatesthe emission of petroleum distillates and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that occur in air-drying.
The City of Terrace is located amidst the thick forests and steep mountain slopes on a series of terraces that were shaped by glaciers thousands of years ago. Terrace is one of the oldest, continuously occupied places in the world. Rich in First Nations history, Terrace is a true multicultural centre for the entire northwest area of British Columbia. Terrace's natural setting offers exceptional salmon fishing, hiking & biking trails for all levels of outdoor enthusiasts and unbelievable downhill skiing at Shames Mountain. The 2009 Terrace Travel guide showcases the best of Terrace, BC. The guide reveals that Terrace is famous for its mysterious white Kermodei bears, otherwise known as Spirit bears, Moksgm'ol or ghost bears, which are found only in this part of the world. The guide also features fun on land, in the air and in the water with some the world's best salmon fishing.

The 2009 Terrace Travel Guide is available in most Visitor Centres throughout British Columbia and some communities in Alberta. The guide is also available for download in PDF format on the Kermodei Tourism website.
