Washington, D.C., American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) President/CEO Joe McInerney is scheduled to testify at a Senate Commerce Committee subcommittee field hearing entitled “The State Of The Travel And Tourism Industry - The Minnesota Perspective,” on May 27, 2009.

His testimony will address the economic importance of business-related travel, including travel for meetings, conferences, events, and performance incentives, on both a national and state level. He will also urge continued support of the Travel Promotion Act, which was passed by the Senate Commerce Committee last week and is now headed to the full Senate for a vote.
