Americas Best Value Inn

CLEVELAND | Americas Best Value Inn, the nation’s 10th largest limited-service hotel chain, continued its consistent growth in 2009 with the addition of 22 properties and 1,351 rooms in April and May. Despite the troubled economy, the brand was able to strengthen its hold as the affordable alternative to franchising.

Americas Best Value Inn’s largest additions were a 180-room hotel in Bridgeton, Mo., which is a suburb of St. Louis, and a 100-room property in Gastonia, N.C., located just west of Charlotte. The state of Texas saw the largest growth with four new locations in Houston, Waco, Greenville, and Hutchins (Dallas area).

Other additions to the ABVI family include properties in Dalton, Ga.; Heath, Ohio; Bessemer, Ala.; Albert Lea, Minn.; Centralia, Wash.; Lansing, Mich.; Hammond, La.; Stamford, Conn.; Metropolis, Ill.; Bellevue, Neb.; Ocala, Fla.; Neptune, N.J.; Santa Rosa, Calif.; Clinton, Mo.; Whippany, N.J.; and Wellington, Kan.

Nine of Americas Best Value Inn’s new hotels were independents, two are new constructions, and the rest are conversions from other major brands, including Ramada and Days Inn.

“These challenging economic times have really affected the hospitality industry, but Americas Best Value Inn continues to grow at a steady pace,” said Roger Bloss, Founder, President and CEO of Vantage Hospitality Group, the parent company of ABVI and The Lexington Collection. “Hotel owners are seeing the value and security of joining our brand – the unique Freestyle Brand Affiliation model that allows members a voice and a vote, the one-of-a-kind Return On Investment Promise, and all our progressive, revenue-generating programs and comprehensive resources.”
