Social Media: It’s All Fun & Games Until Someone Mentions ROI
The New Analytics
Yes, you've been hearing for a couple of years now about how you can't ignore social media any longer, and maybe you've even put a lot of time and experimentation into it for your hotel, read article after article, and even attended lots of webinars on the topic. But, by now your GM might be complaining about how much time you spend "playing on Facebook," and your marketing department probably prefers to spend their time and dollars on more measurable campaigns, leaving it all up to you. Learn from this dynamic and entertaining speaker how to become a better digital evangelist, and to make sure your social media efforts get the attention (and investment!) that they deserve. Key takeaways:
- For those who don't know a tweet from a poke, a review of some examples of how to leverage social media to generate business
- How to create social media brand engagement and booking metrics so as to assess the spend (i.e., your time) ROI of your tactical campaigns on Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and other platforms
- Most importantly, learn how to communicate the value potential of social media to your senior management, though in a way that addresses any emotional "fear and loathing" of social media that has prejudiced them to date.
- Lastly, our speaker will be examining the social media efforts of some HSMAI DC members.
