The executive management team for the soon-to-open Candlewood Suites Encino Commons in San Antonio, TX, has been announced by Leo Spriggs, President/CEO of Hospitality Management Corporation (HMC).

The Candlewood Suites’ opening management team is made up of an experienced team of hospitality professionals led by General Manager Alison Wickerham, Director of Sales Melissa Kim, and Accounting Manager Roman Trejo. This team of hotel professionals is delighted to be able to offer this new property to the San Antonio community, and looks forward to serving all of their hospitality needs.

Wickerham has previously held management positions at several properties in the San Antonio area, including IHG and Hilton products. Her experience includes managing and overseeing property operations, implementing brand initiatives to improve market share, budgeting and cost controls.

As an industry veteran, Kim brings extensive experience to the DOS position, having begun her hotel career as a front desk clerk then working her way up to AGM and GM positions with Marriott and IHG. Her experience and knowledge of the San Antonio market will be an asset in her new position.

With over 10 years post-military accounting experience, Trejo will be a valuable asset to the Candlewood team. He previously held accounting manager and controller positions at IHG hotels, and is looking forward to helping the new hotel meet projected goals.

With a planned opening in November of 2009, the Candlewood Suites Encino Commons will be the newest extended stay, all suites hotel in the San Antonio area. The 113 suite hotel is conveniently located just off of Hwy 281 and Evans Road. Featuring the finest in hospitality and accommodations, the Candlewood Suites will be the place to stay on the north side of San Antonio. The hotel’s location is just minutes from the San Antonio International Airport, downtown San Antonio, hospitals and medical facilities, and major companies. The hotel is also situated near restaurants, shopping, and attractions.
