Niagara Falls, Ontario – The Winter Festival of Lights Niagara Falls Canada which officially opens on November 7, 2009 has launched a new website for what will be one of the most exciting winter Niagara Falls events seasons in many years. This year, the Winter Festival of Lights in Niagara Falls, Ontario introduces a robust events calendar as well as the stunning new Rink at the Brink ice skating experience right at the base of Niagara Falls.

In addition to comprehensive information about the three million Niagara Falls winter lights located throughout the Niagara Parks Winter Wonderland, the site features a special area devoted to the Rink at the Brink – the festival's newest attraction. The new Niagara Falls ice skating rink opens this November and is situated a "stone's throw" from the brink of Horseshoe Falls, offering spectacular views and an unforgettable experience for children and adults alike. The Winter Festival of Lights' Rink at the Brink, situated adjacent to Table Rock Centre within The Niagara Parks Commission, offers paid admission recreational ice skating, skate, helmet and locker rentals, as well as skating lessons for groups and individuals.

According to Winter Festival of Lights Chair, Joe Miszk, "We expect the Rink at the Brink will become an iconic wintertime destination similar to New York City's Rockefeller Center. It's one of those attractions that's so spectacular you have to experience it first-hand."

The new website offers a robust Niagara entertainment calendar of events for the 09-10 winter season, with everything from the Christmas Concert Series featuring Loretta Lynn, the Gatlin Brothers and Ronnie Prophet to seasonal shows like Jump, Jive & Jingle at Oh Canada, Eh?, Niagara Falls Comedy Fest and The Chronicles of Narnia at the Queen Street Theatre.

Over one million visitors make their way to the Winter Festival of Lights each year and to make planning easier the website provides convenient access to Ontario getaway packages from an array of Niagara Falls hotels and partners.

Also new is the Winter Festival of Lights social media communities page, including access to the organization's Facebook and Twitter pages. The Festival's social media pages offer a sneak peek at contests and promotions for the upcoming Niagara Falls events and special offers for fans of the Festival.
