Travelocity Global today announced that it has named Noreen Henry senior vice president of Global Partner Marketing, replacing Paul Nelson, who plans to leave the company at the end of the year. The company also announced that Lesley Harris, who currently leads Travelocity Business(R), will take over Henry’s former role as vice president of North America Hotels and Packaging. Yannis Karmis, who currently heads Sabre Travel Network(R)’s global customer care, will take the helm of Travelocity Business.

The Global Partner Marketing organization Henry will lead manages supplier relationships worldwide. Previously, Henry was responsible for Travelocity’s North America Hotels and Packaging businesses, including strategy, product marketing, merchandising, and revenue management. She joined Travelocity in 2001 and played an integral role in the launch of Travelocity’s merchant hotel program. Henry will report to Hugh Jones, president and CEO, Travelocity Global.

“It’s always hard to say goodbye to someone like Paul Nelson,” Jones said. “His reputation in our industry is unparalleled and he has been a key member of our executive team for 10 years. Paul has brought great leadership, business savvy and strong ties with suppliers and we’re fortunate to have a gifted leader like Noreen Henry step in to focus on such an important part of our business.”

Harris also has a rich background with Travelocity, having led Travelocity’s Sales and Customer Care prior to taking over Travelocity Business. She started her career with Sabre in 1995 and held various positions in finance, operations and sales at Sabre Travel Network. In her new role as head of Hotels and Packaging, Harris will oversee Travelocity’s single-largest revenue-generating line of business.

Karmis takes the helm of Travelocity Business, one of the industry’s fastest growing travel management companies with more than $850 million in annual business travel spend under management. Prior to Travelocity Business, Karmis spent 12 years working in various positions at Sabre Holdings and Sabre Travel Network. Most recently, he served as vice president of global customer support for Sabre Travel Network in Montevideo, Uruguay. As general manager of Sabre Uruguay, Karmis led the expansion of Sabre’s second-largest office. The global customer support facility in Montevideo supports numerous Sabre brands, including Sabre Travel Network’s 55,000 travel agency customer locations in 45 countries, Sabre Airline Solutions, GetThere, SynXis, Travelocity Business, and Nexion. Karmis will report to Hugh Jones.

These changes are effective Nov. 1, although Nelson will remain with the company through the end of the year to help with the transition.
