In a statement released today, Roberto Polito, Managing Director of Baglioni Hotels, commenting on the company’s new managerial structure says, “In the present difficult economic climate we have decided to redouble our efforts and focus our attention on our Sales and Marketing department”.

From now, Luca Magni will take charge of corporate planning in Group Communications and Branding retaining his role as of Senior Vice President, whilst Maurizio D’Este will become Vice President, Sales and Revenue. Mr D’Este will continue in his role as General Manager of the Luna Hotel Baglioni, Venice, alongside his new position.

"Our aim is to ensure that Baglioni Hotels continues to be recognized more and more as the group that represents true, luxury Italian style throughout the world. In order to achieve this goal we realise that communication with international markets will play a role of major importance" says Luca Magni. “Therefore in my new position, I will be able to wholly concentrate my efforts on the Baglioni brand in order to carry out our strategic vision.” Mr Magni will also continue his work with the Ghana based charity, Orphan Aid Africa, a non profit organization which Baglioni Hotels has supported for the last 3 years.

Maurizio D’Este, remarking on his appointment says, “I am very excited about this new opportunity. With the knowledge I have gained during my years of working in the luxury hotel sector, the work done previously in building the brand and, the future expansion from 2010, I am convinced that we will obtain great results.”

Today, the Baglioni Hotels Group consists of 15, luxury hotels in Italy, France and England. Shortly, new structures in Marrakech and Dubai will be added to the Group, combining international taste with the style and great tradition of Italian hospitality.
