New Friends Will Assist Cornell Center for Hospitality Research
Berkshire Healthcare and Mindshare Technologies Become CHR Friends
Two diverse companies have joined Cornell's Center for Hospitality Research as friends of the center. The new friends are Berkshire Healthcare, which operates rehabilitation and nursing facilities in three states, and Mindshare Technologies, which provides operational and customer feedback for more than 25 industries, including travel, hospitality, restaurant, financial, and retail. Both organizations will be donating data to support the center's ongoing research projects.
Based in Massachusetts, Berkshire Healthcare is a mid-size healthcare and senior-services company that is the largest nonprofit, long-term care company in Massachusetts. Berkshire owns or operates 17 rehabilitation and nursing facilities (14 in Massachusetts, one in Ohio, and one in Pennsylvania), a community based hospice, and Kimball Farms, a life-care retirement community in Lenox, Massachusetts. The purpose of the Center for Hospitality Research is to enable and conduct research of significance to the global hospitality and related service industries. CHR also works to improve the connections between academe and industry, continuing the School of Hotel Administration's long-standing tradition of service to the hospitality industry. Founded in 1992, CHR remains the industry's foremost creator and distributor of timely research, all of which is posted at no charge for all to use.
