Leader in room automation and energy-management will display its joint solution with Panasonic and Enseo that allows guests to control all room systems via the TV remote; Unveils new RF interface to Saflok for better property-wide communications and cost savings | Visit the Panasonic Booth 3062 and Saflok Booth 2902 to see INNCOM in Action

INNCOM International Inc., will display the industry’s most advanced integrated solutions for energy management and in-room controls at the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show Nov. 8-10 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. Through two new integration partnerships, the leading provider of EMS, lighting controls and communications systems will unveil solutions designed to improve energy efficiency and enhance the guest experience.

INNCOM will demonstrate the benefit of bundling its energy solutions with Panasonic televisions and Enseo’s digital media platform that enables guests to make changes to in-room temperatures, change light settings, signal “do not disturb” or “make-up room” at their doorway, and other popular service requests via the TV remote. INNCOM also will feature a new collaboration with SAFLOK™ that has yielded a new radio-frequency (RF) interface for energy management.

INNCOM has been developing, manufacturing and marketing advanced guestroom control systems for the global lodging industry since 1986. Today, INNCOM systems are installed in more than 750,000 guestrooms in many of the most prestigious hotels in 42 countries.

“This year at IH/M&RS, INNCOM is not showcasing just energy management, but the benefits of integrating INNCOM solutions with other in-room technologies for even better control of room systems and property-wide energy management,” said John Tavares, INNCOM VP Sales and Marketing. “The joint interactive technology displayed in the Panasonic booth is easy to install, reduces the costs of in-room control, and is fun for guests to use. Putting room controls at guests’ fingertips is a win-win for everyone.”

In Booth 3062, hoteliers will see how guests can use the TV remote and point at user-friendly graphics to change room temperatures, flash the “do not disturb” sign, or make special requests to hotel staff. Guests also can use the system while not having to sacrifice viewing time of a given TV program or in-room movie, and they can put the guestroom into INNCOM’s environmentally friendly ecoMODE®.

EMS Gone Wireless

INNCOM also will showcase its first Radio Frequency (RF) solution, developed in partnership with SAFLOK for the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

“The new RF interface provides a cost-effective, energy-management solution by allowing the lock and thermostat to communicate wirelessly,” Tavares said. “This integration allows the hotel to use the door lock to communicate via RF to the thermostat every time the door is opened. This results in improved energy management and a reduction in operating expenses for the property, as well as improved comfort for the guest. With the new SAFLOK and INNCOM collaboration, the RF interface becomes a very cost-effective retrofit.”

Without having to compromise on room design or incur the expense of installing cables, hotels using or migrating to RFID door locks can upgrade guestrooms to talk to INNCOM’s new in-room RF network. The new wireless infrastructure will keep guests comfortable while keeping the hotel operating more efficiently.

“As the global leader in guestroom automation systems for the global lodging industry, we look forward to developing even more network integration partnerships with other suppliers to aide the industry with energy conservation while greatly enhancing the guest experience,” Tavares said. “By working together with other hospitality technology providers, INNCOM will be bringing hotel owners and operators with systems that will enhance the guest experience, reduce energy usage and improve operational efficiency.”
