SOUTHLAKE, Texas, Nov. 9, 2009 – Despite troubled economic times across the hotel sector, the list of Sabre Hospitality Solutions customers who are seeing significant revenue increases after switching to the Guest Connect booking engine is growing rapidly. Maya Ubud Resort and Spa, the award-winning Indonesian spa and resort, became the latest property to join the list. The property, which was recently named Spa of the Year by Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards, reported a whopping 280 percent year-over-year increase in revenue generated through its booking engine since switching earlier this year to SynXis, a key component of Sabre Hospitality Solutions that provides global distribution and Internet marketing solutions, and its Guest Connect booking engine.

"Guest Connect was able to offer us more controls, merchandising flexibility, and resort-specific features than any other booking engine we looked at, and we thought its user-friendly interface would help our conversion rates," said Thrissa Simorangkir, e-commerce manager at Maya Ubud Resort and Spa. "We were also excited by the range of revenue management tools the booking engine offers and SynXis' local support team in Asia Pacific, whose expertise in the luxury market is a meaningful asset to us. Although we expected to increase incremental revenue by switching to SynXis, nothing could have prepared us for the huge success we have had so far."

Maya Ubud Resort and Spa was looking for a central reservations system (CRS) that would help them increase bookings, revenue per booking, and manage their online revenue strategy. The SynXis CRS appealed to them because of its vast amount of international features, extensive stay controls, and seamless integration to their booking engine. Further, Guest Connect was designed with guest conversions in mind and has been proven in user studies to increase look-to-book conversions.

Added Simorangkir, "Guest Connect enables us to offer guests the resort's full range of products and services which contributes to the increases in revenue per booking. We have taken advantage of features like promotional pricing and dynamic packaging which are extremely simple to implement."

"Maya Ubud is an esteemed name in luxury and, with all of its distinctions, mandates a quality customer experience starting from the moment a guest visits its Web site," said Patrick Andres, managing director of SynXis Asia Pacific. "We are thrilled that they, and so many of our other customers, are seeing the benefits of Sabre Hospitality Solutions' products and services translate into positive guest booking experiences and to their bottom line."
