Carrie Carter Joins Travelscream as Western US Director of Sales
At the Palms, Ms. Carter oversaw internet marketing efforts, including managing online travel agency relationships and online marketing and social media growth. Prior to that, she served as Client Development Manager at VEGAS.com for more than four years. In that role, she was responsible for cultivating relationships with hotel, nightclub and restaurant partners whose gross sales approached $60 million.
Ms. Carter's hospitality career began at Expedia during the company's inception in the late 1990's. There, she served as Market Manager covering territories including Texas, the Mid Atlantic region and Europe. She later worked for Orbitz, where she established the OTA's merchant model across the western United States.
"Carrie's diversity of experience, strong industry relationships and high impact personality will be a compliment to our expanding operations," said Travelscream CEO Tom Griffin.
In her new role, Ms. Carter will introduce travel service providers to Travelscream's two key programs – the Travel Deals Network, which delivers travel promotions onto websites, emails and other media channels of leading publishers, and the Social Media Toolkit of content distribution and social marketing tools.
