China’s Newest Starwood Property Combines VISION and Signature by VingCard to Provide Guests with the Ultimate in Guestroom Security
VingCard Elsafe, the leading hospitality security provider and part of the ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Group, has completed the installation of its VISION by VingCard system, a flexible hotel lock system with intuitive touchscreen technology, and Signature by VingCard electronic door locks, at the new Le Méridien Qingdao in Qingdao, China. Located in the new CBD of Qingdao, the luxury property features 348 guest rooms, three restaurants, a Lobby Lounge, spa, Fitness Centre, indoor pool and 2,000 square meters of meeting space. Based on the size and prestige of the development, the property required the protection and operational support of a world-class security provider like VingCard.

To complement the VISION by VingCard system, Le Méridien Qingdao also chose Signature by VingCard. Designed for the most sophisticated hotels around the world, Signature by VingCard features a 600 event audit trail, re-programmable FLASH RAM lock memory and both magnetic stripe and combo reader options. Additionally, the lock maximizes convenience for hoteliers and provides user-friendly guest interaction. Signature by VingCard also features upgradeable technology and flexible configurations, including an optional mechanical override cylinder and a special high-resistant polymer battery cover.
In addition to being secure and reliable, Signature by VingCard features minimal door hardware with only the bezel for card insertion and the designer handle visible on the outside of the guestroom door. It is available in any one of VingCard’s nine different finishes, including two alternative bezel styles – Signature Trend for contemporary designs and Signature Décor for more traditional styles. Additionally, several designers’ collection door handles allow architects and designers to create an aesthetically pleasing environment for hotel guests.
