Hilton HHonors Surpasses 25 Million Members
Travelers Choose Hilton HHonors in Record Numbers; Loyalty Program Offers More Free Nights
Hilton HHonors, the loyalty program for Hilton Worldwide’s portfolio of hotel brands, announced today that it has surpassed a record 25 million members. This record number of member enrollments was recently reached with the help of the more than 2 million new members who joined the HHonors program in 2009 – the largest enrollment year in the program’s history.
Known as the loyalty program where members can earn Points & Miles for the same stay, as well as enjoy hotel rewards with No Blackout Dates or capacity controls on all standard rooms, Hilton HHonors has benefited from a long history in offering exemplary customer service and free night stays to millions of business and leisure travelers. Even during recessionary times, Hilton HHonors rewarded members with 13 percent more free nights in 2009 compared to 2008 – totaling almost 10,000 free nights per day.
Hilton HHonors is engaging new members and keeping loyal members in record numbers. For example, Peter Strand, Director of Franchise Development for Prudential Real Estate and decade-long Hilton HHonors member, travels for business at least two nights a week and remains a loyal member because of Hilton Worldwide’s convenient property locations and consistency, as well as having the ability to redeem points for family leisure travel with No Blackout Dates.
“I trust Hilton Worldwide properties because they are consistent, comfortable, clean and professional,” said Strand. “Knowing how the franchise business works, I experience a high-level of consistency from Hilton Worldwide hotels that I haven’t experienced in other hotel chains whether I’m traveling for business or for my son’s ski racing competitions.”
With more than 3,500 hotels in 81 countries across 10 brands including Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels, Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Hotels, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Home2 Suites by Hilton and Hilton Grand Vacations, Hilton Worldwide’s span of hotel brands ensures travelers can find a hotel for any business or vacation occasion.
Currently, Hilton HHonors is encouraging members to take advantage of its “Have a Night on Us” promotion, which allows members to earn one free night stay for every four stays from now until March 31, 2010 at any of the more than 3,500 participating hotels worldwide. This offer follows the successful “Pick a Promotion” in the fourth quarter 2009 that offered members the opportunity to collect double points for all stays in the period or earn 25,000 points for staying four times.
“The fact is that Hilton HHonors has long enjoyed the highest value for free night awards among major programs,” said Randy Petersen, Editor and Publisher of InsideFlyer, in the March 2010 issue of the magazine.
Hilton HHonors’ record enrollment follows a number of customer service awards for Hilton Worldwide over the last year. In February, Hilton Worldwide won the People's Choice Stevie® Award for Sales & Customer Service – Favorite Customer Service in Leisure and Tourism. The Hilton brand also received the Reader’s Choice for “Best in Business Travel” and “Best Hotel WebSite” by Business Traveler magazine as well as “Best Hotel for Meetings” and “Best Hotel for Business Services” by Executive Travel Leading Edge Awards in 2009.
Hilton HHonors members enjoy staying at award-winning brands in desirable destinations spanning 81 countries around the globe. With more than 3,500 participating hotels and 585,000 rooms, HHonors members can almost always find a hotel that meets their travel needs.
