As the digital realm becomes increasingly integrated in day-to-day business practices, the revenue management and Internet marketing fields become more closely connected. On Monday, June 21, 2010, hospitality sales and marketing professionals will gather at the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Revenue Management & Internet Marketing Strategy Conference at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. to discuss how these two disciplines have evolved and the best practices for optimizing revenue today.

The 2010 conference, held prior to the HITEC show, will explore revenue optimization, pricing, ecommerce and Internet marketing topics in the context of the slowly recovering economy with a powerful keynote presentation and 16 breakout sessions.

Interview with Kathleen Cullen of Inspire Resources, co-author of Defining Revenue Management and the upcoming The Evolving Dynamics of Revenue Management: A Comprehensive Raod Map for Hotel Owners, Operators & Practitioners, from the HSMAI Reveneue Management Special Interest Group and the HSMAI Foundation, discusses current trends in revenue management.

The new publication will be released in conjunction with HSMAI's Revenue Management & Internet Marketing Strategy Conference, June 21, 2010, in Orlando, FL. The conference, co-located with the annual HITEC show, is produced by the thought leaders at the forefront of the increasing convergence of the revenue management and internet marketing fields within the hospitality industry.

“As the industry slowly recovers from the recession, optimizing revenues and leveraging the internet as a marketing medium has never been more important,” said Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHA, president and CEO of HSMAI. “This conference will bring together thought leaders to discuss the emerging trends and best practices in revenue management and Internet marketing, and how you can leverage them to drive business.”

Best-selling business author Rafi Mohammed will deliver the keynote address, "How Successful Companies Use Price to Profit and Grow." He will discuss the premise of his latest book, The 1% Windfall, regarding how even a one percent increase in price can create billions of dollars in new profits. Mohammed will also offer insight on how to effectively analyze the profit disconnect that exists in business today, providing attendees with a sound strategy for creating products and prices that satisfy all of a company's customers.

Attendees will choose from 16 breakout sessions, designed to offer practical and concrete takeaways that they can implement immediately after returning from the conference.
