Westmont Hospitality Group Receives Corporate Sport Citation Award
Westmont Hospitality Group was recognized as a leader in supporting sport in Ontario at the 2009 Ontario Sport Awards Ceremony in Toronto
Westmont Hospitality Group was the proud recipient of the Sport Alliance of Ontario's Sport Citation Award on April 15th at the 2009 Ontario Sport Awards Ceremony at Atlantis Pavilion, Ontario Place in Toronto. Westmont was recognized based on its significant contribution to amateur sport and sustained corporate leadership in the Ontario sport market over several years.
"We are proud to inspire tomorrow's sport leaders by supporting amateur athletics in Ontario," says Saverio Gioffre, national sales manager, Westmont Hospitality Group. "We recognize the importance of supporting sport at the grass roots level and are committed to helping these athletes achieve excellence."
The award was presented to Saverio Gioffre, national sales manager, Westmont Hospitality Group at the Awards Ceremony on April 15, 2010 from the Honorable Margarett Best, Minister of Health Promotion. Since 1999, Westmont has been forming partnerships with many national and provincial sport organizations, high schools, colleges and universities and has assisted with the cost of team accommodation by investing in their partners' sport programs.
"We are very proud to be recognized by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association and Sport Alliance of Ontario," says Gioffre. "We look forward to continuing our participation in sport programs in order to give back to sport and at the same time to be identified with athletics in the province of Ontario."
The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) is the governing body for intercollegiate sports and nominated Westmont Hospitality Group for the award. The Sport Alliance of Ontario (SAO) is a not-for-profit provincial sport management agency who supports personal andcommunity development through sport opportunities.
