Hilton Worldwide today announced that guests visiting any Hilton Worldwide property in the region of the recent oil spill can cancel their reservations and receive a 100 percent refund. The “Beach Satisfaction Guarantee,” ensures that from today through July 31, guests scheduled to visit any of Hilton Worldwide’s hotels from the Gulf Coast to South Florida that are beachfront or within a 20 minute drive to the beach* will not be charged should their stay be in any way affected by the Gulf oil spill.

“Hilton Worldwide recognizes that some travelers are hesitant to plan a beach vacation to the Gulf Coast this summer due to the uncertainty around the impact of the oil spill on the region’s beaches. Therefore, we are offering the Beach Satisfaction Guarantee to provide our guests with peace-of-mind as they plan their summer vacations to the region,” said Paul Brown, President, Global Brands & Commercial Services, Hilton Worldwide. “We encourage travelers to continue to plan their well-deserved vacations to the Gulf Coast and South Florida this summer and enjoy the hundreds of miles of beautiful beaches that remain unaffected by the oil spill.”

Details of the Beach Satisfaction Guarantee include:

  • From today through July 31, 2010, if you change or cancel a reservation at an applicable hotel because your stay will be negatively impacted by the Gulf oil spill, cancellation fees will be waived and we will help you make new hotel arrangements at the same hotel or at any hotel within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio of brands.
  • From today through July 31, 2010, if you check out before your scheduled departure date or time because your stay is impacted by the Gulf oil spill, early departure charges will be waived at all applicable hotels.

These brands include: Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels, Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Hotels, Hilton Grand Vacations and Homewood Suites by Hilton.
