Cornell Hospitality Research Summit (CHRS)

The Cornell Hospitality Research Summit (CHRS) is now accepting nominations for the first-ever Hospitality Research in Practice Award. This award will be presented during the conference, which is produced by the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research (CHR), October 6-8, 2010, on the beautiful Cornell University campus.

"We want to acknowledge the best in business-based research, as it applies to actual practice," said Professor Rohit Verma, executive director of the Center for Hospitality Research. "We are open to submissions from all areas of the hospitality industry. We are hoping to encourage the use of research to improve business practices."

Verma added that candidates for the award should write up a relatively brief description of the research and the verifiable and preferably quantifiable impact on organization's performance. In addition to being honored during the conference, Hospitality Research Practice Award winners will be featured prominently in CHRS publicity. Please send submissions to: [email protected].

The CHR invites director level and above representatives of industry and academe to the inaugural Cornell Hospitality Research Summit, in Ithaca, New York. This "thought leadership" summit will feature keynote addresses from industry and academe, and in-depth presentations from scholars and practitioners, as well as the Hospitality Research in Practice Award presentation.
