Russia & CIS Hotel Investment Conference (RHIC) Announces 2010 Conference Programme With Leadership Panel and Keynote Speaker Daniel Thorniley
The Russia & CIS Hotel Investment Conference (RHIC) is pleased to announce the 2010 educational programme is now complete and available online. Known as an essential gathering for stakeholders in the Russia and CIS region, RHIC is a unique 3-day event that brings together regional and industry experts to allow exploration of business opportunities, find new business partners and gain invaluable industry knowledge to help your business succeed.
The comprehensive conference programme includes interviews with leading hoteliers, forecasts from top economists and panel discussions on the latest developments, trends and best practices in the hotel investment industry. Joining the RHIC 2010 conference programme is Keynote speaker Daniel Thorniley, President, DT-Global Business Consulting; who will speak on “What do the next five years hold for Russia and the CIS? What are the marketing opportunities and threats?”.
The programme will introduce several new and exciting sessions starting on day 2 with the “Banker’s Forum” that will give in-depth views from bankers on the hotel market in the region and deals done in the last year. It will also bring back popular sessions from years past including “Investment Den” on day 3 that will allow an opportunity for developers to present their projects to a group of investors who are willing to “invest” in their development. A session of particular interest to attendees will be held on the last day regarding the 2014 Winter Olympics. Attendees will learn how to profit long term from large scale events and find out what is being done in Sochi in order to determine the viability of their long term prospects.

The 2010 leadership panel “Dispelling the myths and mitigating the risk” will discuss the understanding of realities of investing and operating in Russia and the CIS, how to overcome the “Russia risk” concerns of potential investors, how industry CEOs are protecting and growing their business and how and where they are unlocking investment opportunities. The panel will be led by moderator Mark Wynne Smith, Chief Executive Officer (Europe, Middle East & Africa) of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, the panel will be comprised of Yann Caillère , Chief Operating Officer, Accor Hospitality EMEA, Chief Executive Officer, Sofitel WW; Tony Potter, Chief Executive Officer, Corinthia hotels; Kurt Ritter, President & CEO, The Rezidor Hotel Group; Igor Romanov, Director, Board of Directors, AZIMUT Hotels Company and Simon Vincent, President Europe, Hilton Worldwide.
