New York | TTI Technologies, the hospitality industry's leading provider of Driver's License/Passport Scanners, Business Centers, Concierge Services and other hotel solutions was selected by Renaissance New York Hotel 57 to design and install their new business center.

Previously, the Renaissance New York Hotel 57 outsourced their business center, where guests paid a nominal fee for usage. Earlier this year, management decided to switch the business center to a mostly-free environment, providing an additional amenity for guests.

"When evaluating value-added services and amenities for guests, we did not realize the degree to which people would access and utilize a free business center," said Steve Batta, General Manager of Renaissance New York Hotel 57. "The costs and challenges in operating our own business center were apparent." Batta went on to share, "We completely underestimated the cost of guest service and the expense of running a business center. TTI was able to create and implement a solution that pleased our guests and did not raise cost in the hotel."

"It's our experience that properties want to offer exceptional service, and we know they need to try various options to validate theories," stated Steve Blidner, President TTI Technologies. "Therefore, we created a hybrid solution for Hotel 57 where guests receive certain services for free, yet pay for extensive usage. Now, each guest receives 15 minutes of free internet access within a 24-hour time period and printing is charged from page one. With this new solution, Renaissance New York Hotel 57 not only eliminated the expense of maintaining the business center equipment and paying for toner and paper; they also now receive revenue for paid usage and have a courtesy phone for 24/7 support. In addition, hotel guests now have access to popular features, including Skype phones, webcams, fax/copy/scan services, and remote printing from PDAs and laptops."
