InnVest REIT Hotels will complete a full brand re-launch at 12 of its Holiday Inn hotels and four of its Holiday Inn Express hotels in Canada by the end of December 2010. This multi-million dollar investment will feature remodelled lobbies and front entrances, refreshed guestrooms, enhanced bathrooms and updated restaurants all complimented by new signage featuring a brand new logo energized with a new signature colour green. InnVest will further add an additional Holiday Inn hotel to its portfolio with the conversion of a former Radisson hotel in Laval on November 1st.

“This rebranding initiative is creating an entirely new guest experience and we anticipate improved customer satisfaction and loyalty at these hotels across the country,” says Barry Sheen, senior vice president operations at InnVest REIT Hotels. “This rebranding effort will help to revitalize the Holiday Inn brand and help position it in the market as a relevant and contemporary lodging choice, especially for corporate travellers.”

“With business travel expected to increase in the mid-market hotel sector this year, the timing of this re-launch couldn’t be better,” adds Sheen.

In addition to the installation of high quality tiles, upgraded wall vinyl, custom artwork, brand new 32” flat screen TV’s and stylish new furniture throughout, business travellers at these Holiday Inn’s can expect the same high-level service as before. Hotels will continue to offer reliable high-speed Internet, free local calls, complimentary in-room newspapers, fitness facilities, and a wide range of meeting facilities and hotel conference centers. Guests at the Holiday Inn Express brand will continue to enjoy complimentary Express Start® breakfast in the morning as well.

“With a focus on quality and innovation, we anticipate that this rebranding will affect our guests from the moment they enter our hotel,” says Sylvain Richer, general manager at the proposed new Holiday Inn Laval Montréal. “Signature lighting, music and fresh scent selections will actively engage guests in a completely new sensory experience. We will also be delivering a more efficient check-in process with enhanced customer service as our staff has all undergone additional customer service training. “

Formerly, Radisson Hôtel Laval-Montréal, the conversion of this hotel will make it the first Holiday Inn branded hotel in the Laval area. The conversion will feature major upgrades to its two on-site restaurants, Restaurant le Zircon and Restaurant la Cage aux Sports which seats up to 388 people. Other major upgrades to its 176 guest rooms include brand new 32” flat screen TV’s and chairs. Guest rooms also feature crisp new white linens and choice of soft or firm signature pillows to suit any specific sleeping need.

There are currently 11 hotels within InnVest’s Holiday Inn portfolio that have re-launched. These hotels are mainly in Ontario, and are concentrated in downtown business districts, outlying business parks, airport locations or with convenient access to major highways and thoroughfares. The remaining five properties are expected to complete the re-launch by the December 2010 deadline.
