IDeaS Revenue Optimization, the leading provider of revenue management software, services and consulting, today announced the second round of IDeaS Cornell Revenue Management Scholarship winners. Winners include Nuengruthia Thumwonk, revenue manager at Ascott International Management Limited Thailand, Sarah Kulik Blatsiotis, assistant front office manager at Smyth -- A Thompson Hotel and Dana Miroshnichenko, revenue manager at Grand Hotel Europe. The Scholarship Panel at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration selected the recipients based on demonstrated excellence in revenue management and desire to enhance their profession.

"The outstanding candidates for the scholarship program continue to impress and inspire us," said Linda Hatfield, vice president of product management, IDeaS. "As driving better revenue will be even more critical in the coming years given the changed economic environment, we're proud to do our part to help move the industry forward."

The scholarship program, funded by IDeaS, offers hospitality professionals worldwide the opportunity to gain an online Revenue Management certification from Cornell University. Scholarship recipients get paid registration to five eCornell courses, leading to a Cornell online certificate in Hotel Revenue Management.

"Scholarships provide hospitality professionals the means to accomplish our goals and become more valuable to the industry," said Sarah Kulik Blatsiotis. "I hope that the knowledge I obtain from the program not only assists me in achieving my professional aspirations, but also allows me to properly train those around me."

"The current economic situation reinforced the importance of revenue management. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to receive the in-depth knowledge and sophisticated techniques the program offers to gain a competitive advantage for my hotel," said Miroshnichenko.

"I look forward to utilizing the lessons learned from this experience to further develop and master the craft of revenue management," added Thumwonk.

The application deadline for the first-half-year 2011 Scholarship Program is May 13, 2011. For more information about the IDeaS Cornell Revenue Management Scholarship Program and applicant eligibility, please visit: www.ideas.com/scholarship.
