Xin Tian TI Development Corporation (XTT) and Marco Polo Hotels (MPH) held a groundbreaking ceremony today for the construction of the 313-room Marco Polo Ortigas hotel in Manila, Philippines. Construction is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2014, with the grand opening of the hotel to occur soon after.

Samuel Po, President of XTT and Steve Kleinschmidt, President of MPH participated in a morning groundbreaking ceremony at the site to mark the official beginning of the project. Government officials, business partners and guests also attended the ceremony.

“We are incredibly excited to have reached such an important milestone in the construction of the Ortigas Center,” Po said. "I'm looking forward to another celebration when we open the doors."
