The Hotel Yearbook, published by Lausanne, Switzerland-based Wade & Company, a hospitality strategy consulting firm, announced the launch of its 2011 edition available December 20, 2010. The annual volume is a co-publication of the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, the world’s first hotel management school, also based in Switzerland. In the publication’s 2011 edition, more than 50 hotel operators, owners, analysts, and C-level executives based in over 25 countries contribute a wide range of views and opinions on emerging trends expected to impact the hotel industry in the year ahead.

The 2011 version - The Hotel Yearbook’s fifth edition - is available online in a ‘freemium’ digital format. Readers may download four articles for free and pay a nominal fee to access the entire publication, which can be read online or downloaded in PDF format. The 128-page print edition can also be ordered online. Both offer the identical content.

Senior managers and experts from two dozen key geographic markets and several industry segments describe the trends and developments that they believe will impact the performance of the hotel industry in the next 12 months, giving readers valuable insights about the near-term outlook for the hotel business. Among the 50 contributors to the 2011 edition are Kathleen Taylor, CEO of Four Seasons, Stephen Joyce, CEO of Choice Hotels, Raul Leal, COO of Virgin Hotels, Claus Sendlinger, CEO of Design Hotels, David Kong, CEO of Best Western Hotels, Ed Fuller, President of Marriott International, Giovanni Angelini, former CEO of Shangri-La Hotels, Sir David Michels, board member of both Strategic Hotels and Jumeirah, and Arthur de Haast, CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels.

“As in the past, we publish valuable input from STR about next year’s outlook. And this year for the first time, we are proud to include twenty forward-looking country reports prepared exclusively for the publication by senior consultants for Horwath HTL,” said Woody Wade, Founder and Publisher of The Hotel Yearbook and Managing Director of Wade & Company. “The depth and breadth of their analysis is outstanding.”
