Cornell School of Hotel Administration and TravelCom Collaborate to Advance Industry Research

The Cornell School of Hotel Administration welcomes TravelCom, a premier travel and tourism conference, to its corporate membership program at the president level. Under the agreement, TravelCom will sponsor of two of the school's leading industry events: the third annual Cornell Icon & Innovator Awards Dinner and the ninth annual Masters of Management in Hospitality Reception.

The Cornell School of Hotel Administration welcomes TravelCom, a premier travel and tourism conference, to its corporate membership program at the president level. Under the agreement, TravelCom will sponsor of two of the school's leading industry events: the third annual Cornell Icon & Innovator Awards Dinner and the ninth annual Masters of Management in Hospitality Reception. The company will also be enrolled as a corporate friend of the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research (CHR).

In addition, SHA will be the official academic partner of the TravelCom Network and the TravelCom Conference, which is being held March 30 – April 1, 2011, at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. The school is also sponsoring the Industry Benchmark Research Study, which will analyze the current state of online media spending and resource investment across all travel industry segments. Professor Rohit Verma, executive director of the CHR, will present the results of the study during the conference.
