The School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University is the exclusive academic partner of IESE Business School for the second International Tourism Summit being held Friday, March 4, 2011, in Barcelona, Spain. Steve Carvell, associate dean for academic affairs, and Rohit Verma, professor and executive director of the Center for Hospitality Research, will both be leading panel discussions, and several SHA alumni and corporate partners will be featured speakers. The invitation-only conference is organized by the IESE Business School and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The International Tourism Summit attracts government tourism ministers, executives from top tourism companies, and industry thought leaders as they explore key challenges, analyze future trends, and share innovative practices. The first edition of the International Tourism Summit was held on May 4, 2009, at the IESE Business School in Spain. Participants included more than 100 senior industry leaders from Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
