Current leadership books lack any discussion of what a leader needs to know now about technology to be effective going forward. Scott Klososky explains how to lead effectively in the information age with his speech "A Technology Infused Leader" during the closing session of the 2011 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®). The closing session is Thursday, June 23 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.

"Leaders who don't engage with modern business tools are just treading water," said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®, producers of HITEC). "To help gain the advantage, Klososky's session addresses an extremely relevant issue - the importance of technical know-how in today's multi-generational workplace."

A plethora of Baby Boomer and Traditional generation leaders did not grow up with technology. They often have no idea how to leverage the technology or manage the people that do. Klososky's session discusses a handful of new concepts and ideas for what a leader must now do well to lead effectively in the information age. This includes becoming more adept at seeing into the future, leveraging technology holistically as if it were digital plumbing and maturing an organization's institutional culture so that the younger, tech-savvy generations can prosper.

Scott Klososky is a former CEO of three successful startup companies, one of the first successful Internet entrepreneurs and author of three recently-released books. He also spoke at a TEDX conference in Mumbai in February 2010. He specializes in looking over the horizon with how technology is changing the world by sharing stories from his experience of building successful dot.com companies in good and hard times. Klososky's vision and ability to see trends in emerging technologies allows him to be a thought leader who applies his skills to help organizations thrive, leaders prosper and entire industries move forward.
