From Edinburgh to Dubai, demand for the runtriz™mobile guest-services solution is growing so quickly that the Los Angeles-based company has established centralized offices in Israel to service demand across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa

Due to growing demand of mobile guest-services across Europe, the Middle East, and Northern Africa, Los Angeles-based runtriz™ has established centralized offices in Tel Aviv, Israel, this month to support its rapid global expansion. Distinguished European hotelier Alan Goldschneider will spearhead EMEA operations as Managing Director.

"The Middle East in particular likes to stay one step ahead in technology trends," said Goldschneider, who for more than 30 years has managed metropolitan and beachside luxury hotels worldwide that consistently rank among Condé Nast Traveler's Top 100. "Most luxury hotels across the EMEA region already have mobile websites, but they do not have the technology to interface with their guests. The entire concept is not commonly known to hoteliers, so runtriz™ has developed a superior solution that enables them to instantly 'get to know' their guests' real preferences. Based on searches or requests, runtriz™ allows guests to control their experience before, during and after their stay. It's a unique way of doing business that is sure to 'WOW' even the most discerning global traveler."

runtriz™ uses mobile, location-based technology to deliver a hotel's services and amenities to travelers on demand in up to 57 languages. Whether onsite or off property, hotel guests can communicate with the hotel from their mobile device to order room service, view a list of local attractions, order food and drinks poolside, set wake-up calls, request luggage pick-up, check the weather, view spa services, find out where to eat, view local golf courses, request towels, toiletries, transportation and more. These requests or "touches" are then processed by the runtriz™ web platform and seamlessly delivered to the appropriate hotel department keeping the guest apprised of the status at anytime they desire.

"runtriz™ is not unfamiliar to me," Goldschneider said. "I had the great fortune to serve as general manager of the very first hotel in the U.S. to use runtriz™, and I must say it left a lasting impression – one so profound that I am walking away from 30-plus years of luxury hotel management to share my first-hand experiences regarding this solution and help fellow hoteliers understand the technology and embrace its benefits.

"runtriz™ is customized to mirror each property's distinctive services offerings – that is very rare in this industry," he added. "A luxury service culture dictates that guests have access to 'all things needed or desired.' With that same philosophy at runtriz™ very core, I am confident that hotels will be quick to adopt – and guests will be quick to use – runtriz™ across this region."

Matthew Allard, runtriz™ Founder and CEO, said Goldschneider was the ideal candidate to spearhead his company's global growth initiative. Based on word-of-mouth alone, Allard said Goldschneider single-handedly built awareness and interest in the runtriz™ solution at hotels across Europe and the Middle East.

"Before Alan was even on board, hotels in Edinburgh, Mumbai, Delhi and Dubai were knocking on our door," Allard said. "Alan is well known in the region for his uncanny ability to transform properties into world-class hotel destinations, incorporating European management principles and ensuring the highest levels of service, including the implementation of highly trained international staffs using the latest technology available. When you have a gentlemen hotelier of this caliber voluntarily selling your products, you can't help but to be successful. Over the past seven years, as Alan was recruited from property to property, he took runtriz™ along too. He is our biggest fan – and now our No. 1 salesman across EMEA."

Goldschneider has served in management roles at Morgan’s Hotel in New York, Cunard Hotels, The Ritz London, LaToc Suites in St. Lucia, Paradise Beach Club in Barbados, Hotel Atop the Bellevue in Philadelphia, and The Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C. He also served at the Soho Grand Hotel in New York, Hotel Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica, Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica, and David Geffen’s Malibu Beach Inn. Goldschneider was President of the Malibu Chamber of Commerce and a recipient of the Malibu Chamber of Commerce’s Businessman of the Year Award.

"With Alan's vast experience and relationships, he will not only greatly accelerate our sales initiative, but greatly improve our training materials, help boost activation on property, and continue to have hotel staff become ambassadors for the technology," Allard said.
