The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) annual Summer Summit, held June 14-15 at The Hyatt Regency Atlanta, will include educational offerings, networking with diverse groups of industry professionals, and honor exemplary employees and programs at the annual Stars of the Industry Awards luncheon.

As a precursor to the Summit, AH&LA's Women in Lodging Connect will host a panel and reception with the Georgia WIL chapter. The event on Monday, June 13, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. will feature Executive coach Sally Williamson, who will help attendees cultivate their "executive presence" prior to a networking reception. Admission is $40 for WIL Connect members and $55 for nonmembers.

The conference kicks off Tuesday, June 15 with the U.S. Lodging Industry Summit, which features the latest forecasting data via expert panelists from Smith Travel Research, Ypartnership, and PKF Hospitality Research. Other seminars include a newly-released cost and benefit analysis on third-party distributors, and how to maximize your operations and marketing via green certification with Green Key Global.

The annual Stars of the Industry Awards luncheon honors outstanding lodging employees and properties across the country, as well as Educational Institute award recipients. Annual awards are presented to notable hotel employees, managers, and general managers across the nation, and to hotels for innovative and successful programs in community service; guest relations; special events; diversity; eco-friendly practices, and information technology.

The conference concludes with an Under 30 Gateway Networking Event and Georgia Chapter Kick Off at the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta. Registration is $25 for Gateway members and $40 for nonmembers.

Additionally, some of AH&LA's more than 30 specialized committees, as well as the AH&LA and the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation board of directors, comprised of top-level hoteliers, management companies, and other representatives from the diverse lodging industry, will host meetings critical in strategically planning industry-wide programs and initiatives.

AH&LA Summit partners include American Express, Grainger, HD Supply, and Heartland Payment Systems.

Registration is $260 for AH&LA members; $460 for nonmembers. Several events are also available for purchase a la carte. For additional event details, please visit AH&LA's Summer Summit Webpage. For more information, contact Lauren Pravlik at (202) 289-3116 or [email protected].
