Once again, The China Hotels Association (CHA) held its 12 Th. Chinese Food Festival and the 10th International Gourmet Expo in Shenyang supported by the Ministry of Commerce of China and IHRA as well as CHA and People Government of Shenyang between 23rd and 26th of July 2011.

The theme this year of this food Festival is innovation in promoting Healthy Food and Green Living style as well as fixing objectives of implementing the National "TWENTY FIVE" plan spirit in developing living Green Industry and to improve the Happiness of the Chinese population with the promotion of development of sustainable development in Northeast China.

Activities were very rich after the official ceremony opening that was attended by Government dignitaries as well Foreign guests from Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, as well Taiwan , Exhibition opened for banqueting, Carnival of international beer from all the world. National Hotel Industry skills competition, competition of international culinary arts Masters, Famous China Master chefs conference and Asian Restaurants industry summit and ended by award ceremony for Hotels and restaurants.

30,000 professionals attended this Festival and conferences from more than 2000 companies from 31 provinces of China. An impressive 200,000 visitors from Food Industry from all china participates in the events of dinner exhibition.

Dr. Ghassan AIDI., President of IHRA spoke during the opening ceremony and said "Once again IHRA is supporting one of our member the China Hotels Association that is doing great job in promoting Healthy food and sustainable development criteria in China, under the leadership of Madame Han Ming the President of CHA, Regional Vice President of IHRA for Asia and we are very pleased with this Gourmet Expo and the richness of the food festival."

During the Conference, IHRA President Dr. Ghassan AIDI was invited to talk about "The new trends of food in 2011" as well as he did gave some advices to Chinese Investors for their investment overseas. His Presentation was very successful and was translated to Chinese Languages to help all investors understand better how to invest overseas in understanding the new trends in Food Industry Worldwide.

The Presentation of the Asian Food Summit and Catering enterprises summit were great and made a very positive contribution to the development, interactions and cooperation of Asian Catering and food industry.

Next year in 2012, the Food festival will be held n south of China in October at Liaoning and Fujian

CHA will be present in Nepal during the 49th IHRA congress, 28 November - 1 December 2011, in Kathmandu.
