Capella Sochi Hotel to open in 2013
Capella Hotels and Resorts will open the new ultra-luxurious Capella Sochi Hotel in 2013, scheduled in time to welcome the VIP guests of the 2014 Olympic Games in Russia.
The new hotel will be located within the desirable village of Gorki Gorod 960, home to villas, chalets and exclusive properties in the vicinity of the celebrated Krasnaya Polyana, 40 km from Sochi-Adler international airport. The village is planned as a year-round international resort in the most southern point of Russia. Its location at 960 meters above sea level will give it the feeling of an "imperial box" with breathtaking views from its edge of the spectacular landscape of the Caucasus range and vistas of the area's rich diversity of Mediterranean-like colors throughout the year.
Designed by the renowned Russian neoclassical architect, Maxim Atayants, as a Roman villa with a classical façade and inner courtyard garden, the property provides 59 spacious hotel rooms - most exceeding 60 square meters in size - and unique facilities including two restaurants, a lobby bar, a Capella spa with indoor and infinity swimming pools, a 300-square meter ballroom, two executive boardrooms and immediate ski lift access.
