A time for change

Recognizing that Canada deserved a strong, vibrant and forward-thinking conference and tradeshow to bring together global planners and suppliers and shape the future of our industry, Ignite magazine publishers Richard Elliott and Debbie van der Beek felt the timing was ideal for an exciting new event. Ignite Business Event Expo will enjoy the same industry commitment, quality content, contemporary approach and strong following of suppliers, meeting planners, ideas and inspiration that resulted in Ignite's unprecedented success over the last three years.

A conference like no other, iBE will offer a unique and stylish format that will maximize merchandising of exhibitor offerings, guaranteeing a worthwhile experiential environment for planners. Attendees can expect top rate, high-energy speakers, interactive information sessions that will inspire and enlighten, and multiple business-to-business exchange and networking opportunities. Attendance will be limited to pre-qualified buyers only.

Ignite Business Event Expo runs June 12-13, 2012 at the Direct Energy Centre, an award-winning, state-of-the-art facility that is centrally located and easily accessible. Running in conjunction with iBE is the Toronto Education Conference, June 10-11, in Niagara Falls, Ont., held by MPI's Toronto Chapter, as well as SITE Canada's annual social that takes place on the evening of June 12-three important events that will contribute to a celebration of the meetings industry.

Ignite magazine and ignitemag.ca burst onto the Canadian meetings, corporate rewards and incentive scene in 2008. Since then, Ignite's contemporary design and writing style, industry knowledge and experienced personnel have captured the market. Ignite is totally and exclusively committed to fostering communication between buyers and sellers in the Canadian business event industry. The owners, Richard Elliott and Debbie van der Beek, launched the original Canadian Meetings & Incentive Travel Symposium (CMITS)/IncentiveWorks in 1991--they know the industry and the event business better than anyone. Their strong following of meeting planners and unlimited access to the most effective means of communicating with them (magazine, website, digital newsletters and social media) will ensure maximum attendance of qualified buyers and planners. Ignite was the recipient of MPI Toronto's 2011 Influence Award and one of the Top Five finalists for "Best Issue" in the Magazine Canada/Canadian Business Press 2011 Awards.
