HSMAI's MEET

The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) has released the dates of its HSMAI's MEET series for 2012, building on the highly successful debut of HSMAI's MEET National in September.

"The National event gave me valuable meetings with individuals with a specific interest in bringing events to the Broadmoor," said exhibitor Laurie Meachem, Director of National Sales, The Broadmoor.

The 2012 HSMAI's MEET event dates are as follows:

  • HSMAI's MEET Mid-America
    April 3-4, 2012
    Navy Pier
    Chicago, Ill.
  • HSMAI's MEET West
    May 30-31, 2012
    Anaheim Marriott
    Anaheim, Calif.
  • HSMAI's MEET National
    September 5-6, 2012
    Walter E. Washington Convention Center
    Washington, D.C.

The 2012 HSMAI's MEET events will showcase the new features that debuted at the National event in Washington, including:

  • Valuable educational experiences through HSMAI's MEET University, an updated, interactive educational program led by top industry experts
  • A new way to meet with HSMAI's TEEM Up, HSMAI's reverse tradeshow buyer appointment expo which adds to the opportunities to learn about new meeting facilities and suppliers during the traditional HSMAI's MEET expo
  • The opportunity to maximize time through HSMAI's MEET Attendee Concierge, who will pre-schedule one-to-one appointments for the planning professional with supplier partners during the traditional trade show hours
  • Year-long access to HSMAI's MEET On, a virtual extension of the two-day conference with networking and regularly updated educational content
"HSMAI's MEET is a valuable resource for meeting planners. I highly recommend planners incorporate it into their busy schedules," said Rebecca Murphy, Meeting Coordinator, NACUBO. Attending HSMAI's MEET comes with a number of benefits for meeting and event planners, including more than nine hours of acclaimed continuing education on the most pertinent topics they are facing, the opportunity to research and secure venues and destinations, opportunities to connect and learn from peers and partners alike, and the ability to pre-schedule face-to-face meetings with exhibitors. For exhibitors, the conferences offer the opportunity to connect with an exclusive group of decision-makers, and learn about the issues they are facing. The annual series attracts thousands of experienced planners from the corporate, association, government, and independent sectors, many of whom do not attend other industry shows, with collective buying power of more than $1.5 billion.

"We have analyzed feedback from the inaugural HSMAI's MEET attendees and exhibitors and are thrilled to be speaking to their specific needs more than ever," said Fran Brasseux, Executive Vice President. "The strategic locations of all three 2012 HSMAI's MEET events make it possible for meeting planners and vendors from across the country to attend and build strong business relationships."
