The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (The Academy), one of the world's leading business hospitality management schools and a part of the Dubai-based luxury hospitality company, Jumeirah Group, has topped the recent international and domestic student satisfaction survey (ISB-SB™) conducted by the International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality, THE-ICE.
THE-ICE ISB-SB survey benchmarked the responses of students from The Academy amongst peer institutions within the global network of THE-ICE, which includes over 1,000,000 respondents from 1,200 institutions in 24 countries across five continents. Consistently the findings indicate that The Academy has outperformed other institutions in areas such as "Academic Quality", "Career Development", "Learning Spaces (or infrastructure)" and embracing "Multiculturalism" in its academic programmes. Students have indicated that they were extremely satisfied with their on-campus food and accommodation, and with the overall experience that The Academy and Dubai as a study destination had to offer. This was significant as The Academy exceeds all other contenders in this category by 13 percentage points.
The Academy was established in 2001 and has since grown to about 300 students from over 60 countries. This January, the Academy welcomed 39 new students from 11 countries with exchange students from the Beijing Hospitality Institute, the College of St Benilde, University of De La Salle, Haaga Hellia University in Helsinki, the Euro Business Colleges and International Schools of Management in Germany. They also welcome their first group of four students from the Danish Hospitality Academy in Copenhagen, who will be joined by over 50 students returning from their successful six month internships in the UAE, Ireland, Lebanon, China and the USA.
