HFTP Launches A New Member Benefit - the HFTP Mobile App
Offering a new home for members on their smart phone, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) is launching a new mobile app. Designed by Bally Technologies, Inc., the app features information on membership, certification, HFTP events and other important HFTP resources. The new app is free to download and available for iPhone, iPad, Android and other Internet-enabled phones.
"HFTP is a technology-based association, so it is only fitting that we provide technology-friendly member benefits," said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. "This app gives HFTP members and interested hospitality professionals easy access to important information about our association and HFTP Global events."
Features on the HFTP app include an app tutorial on how to get the most from the app, a search function for easy navigation, access to social media accounts, the latest industry news, access to webinar archives for Android devices and much more. Another key feature to the app is the events section which includes registration, schedules, hotel information and more on each HFTP Global event.
"Overall, I think the app works fantastic," said Katerina Berezina, CHTP, PhD student at the University of Florida and member of the HFTP Social Media Advisory Council. "I really like that I can view past webinar recordings on my Android. As a member of HFTP, this app is going to be very useful for me."
The free app can be download off Apple iTunes and Google Play (Android Market). Other Internet-enabled devices can use the mobile web version. HFTP is also working on an updated Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC) app, which will be available in late May 2012. The first HITEC app was launched in 2010. HITEC 2012 is June 25 – 28 in Baltimore, Md.
