Bartech Automatic Minibar to be Featured in HFTP’s GUESTROOM 20X at HITEC 2012
Revenue-generating guest amenity selected for inclusion in model guestroom of the future at upcoming hospitality technology show
Bartech's C32 automatic minibar is the latest evolution in hotel minibar operations. This advanced guestroom solution maximizes convenience for both the guest and the hotel, incorporating the latest integrated technologies to increase profits, generate energy savings, improve staff efficiencies and maximize control of inventory and billing. With a generous capacity of 40 liters, the C32 minibar allows the electronic control of up to 32 products, including 12 miniatures or snacks.
"Any hotel claiming to be modern or luxurious must have certain amenities--high-definition televisions, electronic locks, WiFi, just to name a few--and automatic minibars certainly belong on that list, as well," says Bartech CEO Mario Agrario. "The GUESTROOM 20X selection committee obviously feels the same way, and Bartech is honored to be chosen among the hospitality industry's best-in-class technology vendors."
Bartech is the only automatic minibar vendor to offer fully customizable design options. The C32 model can be built to any size and specification to blend with guestroom décor and can be customized with choice of wooden or glass door with the hotel's logo.
Bartech is also the only minibar provider to incorporate three different types of sensor technologies into their advanced product design, including infrared, magnetic and micro-switch. This allows Bartech minibars to use the most effective and reliable technology for each type of product dispensed, maximizing reliability and efficiency of the minibar operation and minimizing guest disputes.
Bartech offers the most choices of server communication methods, allowing hotels to adopt the most cost-effective and efficient technology solution to seamlessly integrate minibars with the hotel's property management system. The five options include the ZigBee platform, Wi-Fi, coax cable, twisted pair and Ethernet communication.
By converting to automatic minibars, hotels are often able to reduce by half the number of minibar attendants on staff, reassigning them to other guest service tasks and trimming the total number of work hours required. On top of the payroll cost savings, hotels deploying automatic minibars routinely increase revenue from minibar sales.
