The Agilysys InfoGenesis™ Mobile POS system, designed to increase efficiency and enhance guest service, is being introduced at HITEC 2012 in Baltimore.

The Agilysys InfoGenesis Mobile POS solution is a full-featured mobile point-of-sale application that integrates seamlessly with the Agilysys InfoGenesis POS system. Built on Android, the world's most popular mobile platform, the solution leverages a Mobile Device Management (MDM) system to allow remote deployment of the application. Features include: support for multiple check types, both at time of creation and while checks are still open; support for both required and optional modifiers; one-click item reordering; summary check item view; and typed special instruction capabilities. The next version will add seat assignment support, barcode scanning, magnetic strip reading, signature capture, remote Bluetooth printing, split check capabilities, multiple language and currency support, and the option of charging items to a guest's credit card or posting charges to the guest's hotel folio.

The Agilysys InfoGenesis Mobile POS application is based on key functionality found in the award-winning Agilysys InfoGenesis POS system as well as user recommendations and industry demands for wireless and handheld solutions. An intuitive modern design coupled with a straightforward user interface make the system easy for staff to learn, and minimal administration is required. Screens, items, tables and check type configurations are handled centrally within the Agilysys InfoGenesis POS system.
