The recent installation was part of an exclusive agreement between Bartech and MGM Resorts International that has seen the installation of Bartech minibars in more than 23,000 hotel guestrooms across the MGM Resorts portfolio.

MGM Grand has implemented Bartech's C-32 Automatic Minibars, customized to include a fully-attached cabinet door to the minibar door so that when the cabinet door is opened, minibar contents are easily accessible. The minibar door was further customized for the Las Vegas Strip resort to have larger door shelves than standard units—an accommodation made at MGM Grand's request that other minibar manufacturers would be unwilling or unable to make. Like all Bartech automatic minibars, the C-32 is equipped with state-of-the-art detection capabilities, and the Microsoft Windows-based system features a host of energy-saving options.

Bartech boasts more automatic minibars in use than any other manufacturer throughout Las Vegas' upscale and luxury hotel segments. Nevertheless, the MGM Grand installation is Bartech's second largest single-property implementation in history, trailing only the sister hotel across the Strip, ARIA Resort & Casino. In addition to MGM Grand and ARIA, Bartech minibars are installed at several other MGM Resorts International properties in Las Vegas, including Bellagio, The Mirage, Mandalay Bay and Vdara.
