NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Uniguest Inc. helps satisfy hotel guests' voracious demand for connectivity technology by designing, assembling and delivering hardware, software and support in a comprehensive, end-to-end approach that marries the company's internal expertise with a world-class supplier network.

Uniguest calls its approach "total content and device management," meaning it provides an integrated package of hardware, software, content and support to help hoteliers deliver a consistent connectivity experience while protecting guests and their private information from cyber threats, viruses and malware.

Uniguest's success is based, in part, on its determination to work exclusively with suppliers that complement its own commitment to cutting-edge technology, quality and service, said John Bearden, Uniguest chief executive officer. "Our suppliers work as our partners to ensure that every component in our system functions in concert and delivers the best result possible."

The most recent example is a strategic relationship with MokiMobility of Lehi, Utah, which provides software that enables Uniguest to extend its proprietary Unicore™ content management system to mobile devices and tablets.

"For nearly a decade, we have been very successful at providing end-to-end content and device management for fixed devices on-property," Bearden said. "MokiMobility provides a plug-in that allows us to take it mobile with the swipe of a pen."

The mutually beneficial relationship also extends Uniguest's end-to-end, managed content and device system to MokiMobility's clients, he said. "Managing mobile devices requires much more than software, which is why MokiMobility reached out to us. We provide all the other components required for a successful rollout.

"Uniguest is the only technology company that handles everything end to end including planning, architecture, equipment procurement, deployment, ongoing service and support and continuous content updating. Our mission is to serve as a single point of contact to make guest-facing technology simple and manageable."

Bearden said the strategic relationship With MokiMobility will eclipse the hospitality industry, enabling Uniguest to offer mobile content and device management services to virtually any industrial, commercial or retail firm including health care providers.

"We will offer quick and easy mobile deployment to a wide range of clients, both within and beyond the hospitality industry," he said.

Another example of Uniguest's strong supplier network is Apple. Uniguest, which has been an Apple authorized reseller of desktop and laptop computers powered by its OS X operating system for nearly three years, earlier this year additionally was designated an authorized reseller for Apple mobile devices powered by its iOS operating system.

Steve Keisling, Uniguest executive vice president, new business & new product development, said the reseller status was granted, in part, because Uniguest fulfilled Apple's requirements for technical proficiency, successfully completed Apple training requirements and passed the requisite tests.

In addition to advantageous hardware pricing because of its buying power, Uniguest offers additional value to its clients by handling nearly all service issues, he said. The company's call center support staff has been trained on both OS X and iOS and can troubleshoot and resolve virtually any problem – short of a hardware failure – by remote control.

When hardware fails, Uniguest immediately ships a replacement device, minimizing any additional wait times involved with getting equipment serviced. "This means little to no down time for our clients," Keisling said. "This is especially important for devices that serve mission-critical functions, including tablets used for point-of-sale transactions."

As an authorized reseller, Uniguest can sell Apple hardware all within the terms of Apple's universal license agreement. Uniguest also is an authorized reseller for Samsung and Acer Android tablets, Microsoft Windows 8 tablets, Lenovo desktop and laptop computers and tablets, Dell desktop and laptop computers and printers and Hewlett-Packard printers.
