Hong Kong: Spicy Innovations Ltd., is delighted to announce that the iFlyPad, which recently debuted in HITEC, has been selected to be part of the Tomorrow Guest Room by the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

It will be an integral part of the project by SHTM and its teaching and research Hotel, Hotel ICON, who launched a global competition to shape guestrooms tomorrow.

Hotel suppliers and providers in design, technology and well-being who wanted to play a part in designing the guestrooms of the future were invited to share their products and knowledge through this special platform.

Entrants were reviewed by an expert panel and winners granted the unique opportunity for their products and services to be tested and researched in three dedicated guestrooms at Hong Kong's one-of-a-kind teaching and research hotel – Hotel ICON, for a period of six months.

An SHTM initiative, the three dedicated guestrooms serve as a platform to innovate, develop and showcase new technologies, hotel designs and business concepts in hotel management. Through these dedicated guestrooms, the SHTM has created a "House of Innovation" not only for the benefit of education and research but also to stimulate creative thinking in the hotel industry.

The iFlyPad, one of eight selected products, was featured in New York Times – on June 27th 2013 by renowned – Technology Columnist, David Pogue -
