The overall rise in gross domestic product (GDP), GDP per capita and falling unemployment rate since 2009, coupled with Latin America's historic and natural attractions have caused it to become an increasingly popular tourist destination that is forecast to continue growing significantly in the next 20 years.
Tnooz's Quinn, in his presentation "Big Trends in Hospitality Distribution," focused onhow disruptive forces, such as mobile technology, social media and new business models, upset the status quo, creating new opportunities for those ready to harness them.
