Jonathan Tisch to deliver keynote at IHMRS

Jonathan Tisch, co-chairman of the board and a member of the office of the president, Loews

Corporation and chairman, Loews Hotels & Resorts, will lead the Hospitality Leadership Forum Keynote discussion on Saturday, November 9, 2013, preceding the 98th annual International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant Show® (IHMRS).

The keynote presentation, "Leadership, Lodging, and the

Active Citizen", will focus on the importance of building a corporate culture that places a high value on partnerships that empowers employees, satisfies customers, contributes to communities, and improves the bottom line. Tisch will help participants learn how to use the power of partnerships and grassroots participation to solve seemingly intractable problems.

Committed to a vibrant tourism

industry throughout his career, for nearly six years Tisch served as Chairman of NYC & Company, the New York City's official tourism marketing agency and convention and visitors bureau, and in 1997 served as Chairman of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. Tisch initiated the Loews Hotels Good Neighbor Policy over 20 years ago, the first of its kind in the hospitality industry. Today, the Good Neighbor program underscores his enduring commitment to good corporate citizenship, social responsibility, and the health of our environment and communities.

"Jonathan Tisch is a

passionate advocate of the multi-billion dollar travel and tourism industry, a champion of corporate responsibility, and has devoted a lifetime to active citizenship," said Phil Robinson, IHMRS show director. "We are delighted to have such a great leader keynote the Hospitality Forum." The Hospitality Leadership Forum will take place from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday, November 9, at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, with the keynote luncheon taking place from 12:45 - 2:15pm. The IHMRS follows from Sunday, November 10, through Tuesday, November 12, presenting more than 700 hospitality industry suppliers and attracting approximately 18,000 in total trade attendance. Hospitality Leadership Forum registration is $159 and includes admission to exhibits the following days.
