Aqua Hospitality To Assume Management Of Two Hotels In Guam
The Two Guam Properties Represent Aqua's First Hotels Beyond Hawaii
Hawaii-based Aqua Hospitality, founded in 2001, has announced it will assume management of two hotels in Guam beginning in December 2013. The two additional properties brings the number of hotels in the company's portfolio to 26. The new management contracts represent a milestone for Aqua as they will be the company's first hotels outside of Hawaii. The two Guam properties owned by Sentry Hospitality collectively offer almost 200 rooms.
The two new Aqua properties currently operate as a Ramada and as a Days Inn. The Ramada property will be renamed Aqua Suites Guam and become part of the Aqua Hotels and Resorts brand. The Days Inn property will continue to fly the Days Inn flag while being operated by Aqua Hospitality. Sentry Hospitality is coordinating with Aqua to refresh each of the properties beginning in 2014.
Aqua Hospitality laid a significant foundation during the recent recession and has emerged from the downturn with excellent capabilities for continued growth. Occupancy and revenue are at record levels and Rafter has been positioning the company for expansion beyond Hawaii. Aqua has worked to solidify existing partnerships with hotel owners while creating relationships with well-capitalized partners. Other recent additions to the portfolio have been on the Big Island of Hawaii, Oahu and Kauai.
