NEW YORK (Feb. 14, 2014) ─ Questex Hospitality + Travel has named Caren Cotto business development manager,responsible for the sales and promotion of the company's travel events including Luxury Travel Exchange International (LTX) and Young Travel Leaders Conference (YTLC).

The 2014 LTX, to be held Dec. 9-11 at The Palazzo® in Las Vegas, brings fully vetted, top-producing advisors of luxury and premium niche travel together with leading suppliers for three full days of one-to-one meetings, interactive networking and educational programming. YTLC, a forum created exclusively for young travel professionals, will be held Dec. 8 at The Palazzo in conjunction withLTX.

"Caren comes to Questex with nearly 20 years of events experience and an impressive track record of successfully producing and managing top business-to-business and business-to-consumer events from initial launch through final implementation," said Marilyn McHugh, Questex Hospitality + Travel vice president, global events. "As we continue to grow and evolve our strong portfolio of travel events, her sales expertise will be a key asset."

Cotto most recently served as international sales director for MSE Management, selling exhibit space and multimedia sponsorships for the largest travel consumer events in the nation – The New York Times Travel Show and Los Angeles Times Travel Show – where she connected thousands of travel suppliers with travel trade and consumer audiences.

Prior to that, she held key positions at Jewelers International Showcase in Miami including new business development director. She also spent four years at H2 Events LLC as show manager for the company's jewelry portfolio, managing invitation-only, buyer-hosted trade events including Centurion, West Coast Jewelry Show and Centurion South Beach.

She began her event management career at United Kingdom-based Reed Exhibitions, one of the world's leading event organizing companies, where she held the role of sales director for the JCK/Luxury jewelry events portfolio.

She earned a bachelor's degree in marketing and international business at the University of New Haven in Connecticut and lives in Palm Coast, Fla.
