As the first Hyatt Place hotel in China prepares to open in May, Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H)

announced several new Hyatt Place and Hyatt House projects that will introduce these two Hyatt brands to China.

"These two brands were specifically designed to meet the constantly changing needs of our guests by

providing simple comfort on the road. Our dedicated associates are ready to provide Hyatt's high quality services and give our guests a welcoming, personalized, and hospitable experience."

The Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands are rooted in extensive consumer research, which indicates

that guests blend their personal and professional lives while traveling and want a hotel that accommodates this lifestyle. To embody this, the two brands offer casual hospitality in a smartly designed, high-tech and contemporary environment.

Hyatt Place, an upscale select service brand, offers a stylish, comfortable, and

seamless experience grounded in 24/7 convenience. Hyatt House, an extended stay brand, provides a contemporary experience with casual home comforts.

"With the introduction of the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands, we are bringing exciting fresh options

to our guests and delivering on our commitment to create a more diversified hospitality industry and become the most preferred hospitality brand in China," said Mr. Nong Xia, senior vice president of real estate and development for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. "This will further expand Hyatt's portfolio in this market, helping maintain healthy, strong growth for the Hyatt brands in China."

First Hyatt Place Hotel to Open in Shenzhen

In May, China is expected to welcome its first Hyatt Place hotel, Hyatt Place Shenzhen, Dongmen, located in the heart of

Shenzhen, a southern city bordering Hong Kong. The hotel will also be the first Hyatt Place branded hotel in the Asia Pacific region, marking an important step for Hyatt in the worldwide expansion of the Hyatt Place brand. In 2012, the first Hyatt Place location outside the United States opened in Costa Rica. Today, the brand offers more than 190 locations in the United States, Armenia, Costa Rica, India, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Netherlands.

Guests of Hyatt Place Shenzhen, Dongmen can expect the brand's signature spacious rooms, which

each feature a Cozy Corner, 42" flat screen TVs, and comfortable beds, a free hot breakfast, multi- tasking, friendly Gallery Hosts, and a 24-hour gym.

With the introduction of Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels, six of Hyatt's nine brands are expected to

be represented in China by 2015. More than 20 Hyatt Place and Hyatt House projects are under development in China.

"At Hyatt, we conduct extensive customer research to fully understand exactly what our customers

need and why," said Chris Walker, vice president of brands for Hyatt Place and Hyatt House.
