Quadriga, a leading international provider of guest technology managed services for the hospitality industry, has announced that its hotel customers can now offer to guests the ability to use Airplay from Apple to wirelessly stream content from their iOS devices onto the in-room HD TV.

This new streaming capability is available as part of Quadriga's leading interactive IPTV solution, Sensiq, delivered via a set-top box or as an integrated solution with LG, Samsung and Philips Smart TVs. Airplay from Apple uses 'screen mirroring' technology which enables guests to mirror almost anything they can play on their phone or tablet onto the TV including photos, movies, TV programs and games, as well as subscription content such as Netflix (where available). This enables the hotel to deliver the all-important home-from-home guest entertainment experience.

Access to the Airplay functionality is easy and intuitive for the guest. Once the mobile device is connected to the hotel WiFi network, the guest simply selects the Airplay icon on the Sensiq menu. After following the on-screen instructions guests can tap on the Airplay icon in their app — Photos, Videos, Music, Safari or any AirPlay-enabled app — and simply stream everything to the TV.
