Hotel CRS' receive millions of availability requests on a daily basis, which is the best indicator of future demand. Until now, no hotel CRS has captured and provided this data to the hotel revenue managers, whom can benefit tremendously from it. The RezTrip CRS will be the first system to make future demand data available to hotels in the place they can make the best use of it – on the RezTrip CRS Rate Grid, where they manage their pricing and availability.

Future demand data will be presented in a color-coded heat map in a calendar format, from where hotels can also maintain pricing, availability and restrictions. The heat map represents number of searches for any day in the future and can optionally show rooms on the books and conversion rates – look to book ratios – so hotels can make more informed decisions when adjusting pricing.

"In RezTrip's Rate Grid, hotels can now analyze demand right at the point when they are managing their pricing in a visually easy to understand manner", says Joan Lee, Director of Revenue Optimization at Travel Tripper. "If a hotel sees abnormally high conversion rates on any given day or date range, it is a solid indicator that their prices may be too low. And conversely, low conversion rates would imply that the market is unable to bear rates which are likely too high."

Future demand data can be viewed by channel of business – website, mobile, call center and GDS, or consolidated from all channels. In the near future, Travel Tripper will be able to split out what geographic markets the demand is coming from, much like Google Analytics shows website traffic by geography. This will make RezTrip's geographic pricing capability even more powerful.
