Although earning free nights still ranks as the number one priority with travelers, it’s no longer enough to satisfy hotel customers. In a 2013 survey conducted by Kelton Global, 81 percent of Americans said free internet and Wi-Fi are key when considering a hotel loyalty program. And according to a 2013 Deloitte report on hotel loyalty programs, 45 percent of today’s travelers – and 80 percent of high-frequency travelers – hold two or more hotel loyalty cards.
